Stefan Falke’s professional career started when a friend and director asked him to shoot stills for one of her movies. After that successful assignment he got continuous work as a set photographer for movies filmed all over the world and he credits those years working on film sets with his most important time for becoming a professional photographer.
Stefan later switched to corporate and editorial clients who trusted his visual storytelling qualities. Meanwhile he also worked on two longterm projects resulting in the acclaimed photo books “Moko Jumbies: The Dancing Spirits of Trinidad” and “LA FRONTERA: Artists along the US Mexican Border”. These projects were shown in over twenty solo exhibitions at art institutions and prestigious photo festivals like PHOTOVILLE in New York, VISA POUR L’IMAGE in Perpignan, TRIENNALE DER PHOTOGRAPHIE in Hamburg and XPOSURE Photo Festival in Sharjah, UAE (2024).
Stefan Falke lives with his wife Christine in New York City where he self-published his latest book about the challenging year 2020, titled “Keep Going New York !!”.
