VISUAL STORYTELLING AWARDS
The Visual Storytelling Award celebrates compelling narratives told through a series of six still images. This category of the International Awards recognises short-form visual storytelling and is open to photographers who use a concise sequence of images to convey a clear and purposeful story. The award recognises creativity, impact, and narrative depth, with entries expected to demonstrate strong structure, engaging composition, and a defined thematic vision across the six image series.
The competition is open to both amateur and professional photographers, with submissions required to be original work captured within the past three years.
JUNIOR PHOTOGRAPHY AWARDS
The Junior Photography Awards is an annual competition for UAE residents aged 18 and under, divided into Junior Lower (8-13 years) and Junior Upper (14-17 years). It is free to enter and accepts amateur still photography taken with a phone, DSLR, or mirrorless camera. Entries must be from the past three years, and entrants must reside in the UAE at the time of submission.
Independent & Freelance Photojournalist Award
Photojournalism demands integrity, accuracy, and a commitment to visual storytelling that shapes public understanding of critical events. This prestigious award recognises the dedication of independent and freelance photojournalists, with three category awards, each of $5,000 USD presented annually for Spot News, Environment, and Solutions.
