Omran Alansari

Omran Alansari is a United Arab Emirates-based photographer and certified trainer at the Ministry of Interior. He began his photographic practice in 2006, initially focusing on landscape photography before progressively shifting his attention towards automotive imagery. His work reflects a strong technical foundation combined with a disciplined visual approach shaped by years of professional training and field experience.

Over time, Omran established himself within the regional photography community through consistent participation in major competitions and cultural platforms. In 2021, he was nominated among the top three photographers at the International Government Communication Forum in the Best Picture category, highlighting the relevance of his work within official and institutional contexts.

His award history includes international recognition, including third place at the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum International Photography Award in 2014 for the Creating the Future theme. In 2016, he was named the first winner of the World Air Sports Championship competition under the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum International Photography Award, marking a significant milestone in his career.

Omar’s achievements also include receiving the Global Medal of Honour from the FIAP International Federation of Photographic Art during the Emirates Photography Competition in 2016. Earlier in his career, he was awarded first place in the His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Golden Jubilee competition in 2008.

In 2024, his continued engagement with socially relevant themes was recognised with the Excellence Medal at the Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum International Photography Award under the Sustainability category. Alongside his competitive success, Omran remains active as a trainer, contributing to professional development within governmental and educational environments.

Omran continues to balance creative practice with training responsibilities, combining applied visual storytelling with structured photographic education. His work spans artistic, technical, and institutional contexts, positioning him as both a practising photographer and an experienced mentor within the United Arab Emirates.
