He is the founder of Eye for the Light, an online magazine dedicated to creative photography and travel. The magazine, which has quickly gained popularity, now boasts around 100 original features, many of which are penned and photographed by Chris himself. In collaboration with fellow professional photographer David Newton, he hosts the “Newton & Coe” podcast series, which has become widely accessible on major streaming platforms.

He has presented photographic features for TV and he lectures on a variety of photographic subjects, including travel, landscape and photo editing, at numerous major international conferences. He has also written articles about photography for specialist photographic, travel and lifestyle magazines.

Chris has a passion for teaching photography, mentoring photographers and helping photographers to realise their creative abilities. He runs the Photo Iconic series of photography courses and workshops in the UK and overseas, covering everything you need to know about photography to enjoy it as a hobby, as a profession or to get started as a new career.

In 2003, Chris founded the now prestigious international photography awards – Travel Photographer of the Year (TPOTY). These awards are now in their 21st year and have to date attract entries from over 150 countries and provided a popular showcase for both amateur and professional photographers to achieve exposure for their work.

Chris curates the TPOTY exhibitions which have been seen by millions of people and visited countries around the world, including China, Dubai & Sharjah, Malta, Portugal, South Korea and UK.

Chris has also played a pivotal role in the publication and curation of photographic works. He has edited and curated twelve Travel Photographer of the Year portfolio books, which showcase exceptional talent in travel photography. Moreover, he has curated approximately 30 indoor and outdoor exhibitions across the globe, further solidifying his reputation as a leading authority in the photography industry.
