Essdras M. Suarez is a distinguished Pulitzer Prize-winning photographer, educator, and mentor with over three decades of experience in the field of photography. Originally from Panama, Essdras has significantly impacted photojournalism, having worked as a staff photographer for renowned newspapers for 20 years. His exceptional storytelling skills through the lens have earned him two Pulitzer Prizes. His assignments have included covering major events like the Boston Marathon Bombing and the Columbine High School shooting, the Iraq War, the Haiti coup etat, and the US Capitol Attack.
Following his newspaper career, Essdras was the chief photographer for the photo startup Million Eyez. Currently, he operates as a freelance photographer and holds the position of chief photographer and instructor at EMS Photo Adventures, LLC. Essdras is known for his expertise in various genres of photography, including street, travel, documentary, architectural, and portrait photography. In addition to his photographic work, Essdras has also made a mark as a TV host, leading the series “Enfoque Natural,” which explored diverse regions of Panama. He has been an adjunct professor at Boston University and a sought-after speaker at prestigious conferences such as Smithsonian Associates, YPO/WPO, and TBEX. He offers comprehensive workshops and webinars through EMS Photo Adventures, sharing his vast knowledge and experience with aspiring photographers worldwide.

Currently, Essdras is a freelance photographer and the chief photographer and instructor at EMS Photo Adventures, LLC, where he leads workshops and webinars worldwide.
