Exhibition Proposal

If you would like to exhibit your work during the 2026 Festival, use the form below to submit your exhibition proposal for consideration. Exhibitions should be formed from a collection of images that have a strong narrative relating to a specialised subject. Our curator will consider each proposed project based on its merits. For print exhibitions, you may upload the sample files through the form below in JPG format but you must be able to provide files that have been processed in16 bit TIFF, preferably in ProPhoto colour space or alternatively Adobe 1998. We do not accept files that have been processed in sRGB for print exhibitions.

Exhibitions that will be considered should be based on a single project, story or narrative. Should our curators find your project of interest, they will contact you. We will not consider an exhibition of single unrelated images.

SUBMISSION DEADLINE: 30 April 2026

Exhibition Criteria

Xposure International Photography Festival is a prestigious event that showcases some of the most captivating and thought-provoking photographs worldwide. The selection process for this exhibition is based on rigorous criteria that aim to highlight the best and most engaging works of art.

One of the key merits that is considered when selecting photographs for the exhibition is the ability to tell a powerful and compelling story. The organizers of Xposure International Photography Festival believe that photography has the power to evoke emotions, convey messages, and make an impact on society. Therefore, photographs that effectively tell a story, communicate a message or convey an idea are given priority over random images that lack a clear narrative.

In other words, the selection process is not just about choosing the most aesthetically pleasing photographs but also about identifying those with a deeper meaning and purpose. Photographs that capture a unique moment in time shed light on a social issue, or tell a personal story that resonates with the viewer are more likely to be selected.

While technical skill and composition are factors in the selection process, they are not the only ones. No matter how well-executed, random images are not prioritised over photographs with a clear and meaningful narrative. Ultimately, the exhibition's goal is to showcase works of art that engage, inspire, and challenge the viewer, and the selection process reflects that aim.
