Andrea Belluso is an award-winning international fashion and beauty photographer whose career spans over 30 years. He began his photographic journey at the age of 16, working under the renowned photographer Bardo Fabiani. Throughout his career, Belluso has captured iconic images of fashion legends like Linda Evangelista, Christy Turlington, and Naomi Campbell. His expertise, however, goes beyond fashion photography. Belluso’s innovative approach and deep understanding of light have made him a sought-after photographer for diverse projects, from automotive campaigns to food photography, setting him apart as a versatile and creative force in the industry.
Belluso’s versatility as a photographer truly came to light when Cadillac, his first automotive client, approached him for a major campaign in the Middle East. Despite his initial hesitation due to a lack of experience in car photography, Cadillac recognized his deep understanding of light and creativity, which they felt was lacking in traditional car photography. This led to further opportunities, with brands like Bentley, Porsche, and McLaren, as well as Nestlé and Electrolux, seeking his unique approach.
Andrea’s mastery of lighting earned him the nickname “The Light Shaper,” a title given to him by Profoto, a leading photographic lighting company. Belluso believes that having a fixed style can limit creativity, which is why he intentionally remains undefined in his work. This philosophy not only fuels his commercial success but also drives his work as a producer, director, and educator, where he facilitates seminars, workshops, and lectures globally, guiding others toward a more authentic and creative approach to photography.
In addition to his commercial work, Andrea Belluso is the founder of Hardbox Productions, a London-based company that produces TV commercial spots and internationally distributed television programs focused on photography, fashion, and luxury. He is also a brand ambassador for Phase One, a leading medium format camera brand, and Profoto. Beyond photography, Belluso is an ambassador for the Non-Violence Project, advocating for peace through creative expression. His commitment to creativity and innovation extends to his personal art projects, which reflect his belief in thinking outside the box and often carry a slightly provocative, tongue-in-cheek style.
