Vishal Durga

Vishal Durga is a passionate and self-taught photographer hailing from India, specializing in street photography, portrait photography, and documentary photography. Started as a hobby has evolved into a deep commitment to capturing the raw essence of life through his lens.

I captured the Prabhala Theertham, where 11 villages in Ambedkar Konaseema district come together for a vibrant procession of chariots. These chariots, featuring Lord Shiva, are paraded through lush paddy fields and immersed in the Godavari canal at Jagganna Thota. Celebrated for over four centuries on Kanuma day during Sankranti, the festival uniquely stands apart from temple rituals, with each village showcasing its chariot at the communal venue, where the Ekadasa Rudras (11 forms of lord Shiva) are believed to bless the world with peace and happiness.

I captured an open-air theatre troupe performing a stage play based on Indian mythology in a rural village in India. About 15 people are seated on the ground in front of the stage, attentively watching the play. In the past, when there were no televisions or mobile phones, hundreds of people would gather to witness such performances. However, the number of attendees has been gradually decreasing over time.””I captured an open-air theatre troupe performing a stage play based on Indian mythology in a rural village in India.
