Gaël Turine lives in Brussels and has been a photojournalist for 25 years. His reports are published in the international press (New york Times, Newsweek, Stern, Geo, Figaro Magazine, M Le Monde, L’Espresso, …) and he is the author of several monographs, including “Aveuglément” and “Le mur et la peur” in the Photo Poche collection, “Avoir 20 ans à Kaboul”, “Voodoo” and “En bas la ville”, devoted to the city of Port-au-Prince. Gaël Turine has received several grants and awards in Europe and the United States, and his work is regularly exhibited in galleries, museums and at major photography festivals. He regularly collaborates with writers and produces TV reports for the ARTE channel. He teaches photojournalism at the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB) and runs documentary photography workshops in many countries. He has coordinated long-term training courses in Haiti, Turkey and Senegal. After spending some fifteen years working for agencies, he now represents his work alone.
