Barbara Dallangelo - Xposure

Barbara Dallangelo

Barbara Dall’Angelo is a Rome-based landscape photographer known for capturing the poetry of nature in remote corners of the world. With a background in film direction, she brings cinematic depth to her imagery. Her work has been featured in National Geographic Italia and awarded in major competitions, including Overall Winner at Asferico 2024 and Highly Commended at Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2023.

Photography has been a passion for Barbara Dall’Angelo since adolescence, but it became something far more significant after she turned forty. It is the lens through which she sees the world, a way that continuously inspires her to explore its many facets and renew her perspective.
Through photography, she discovers what most captivates her eye: simplicity as the most complex form of sophistication. She seeks the synergy of lines in spatial dimensions, the light that shapes the subtle tones of a landscape, and the perception of time that emerges from both movement and stillness.
In her work, Barbara strives to crystallize fleeting moments of nature’s harmony and balance, moments that reveal the fragility and ever-changing nature of our world. With gentleness and grace, she aims to awaken a sense of moral responsibility in all of us, reminding us of the importance of protecting our planet, our most precious gift.

Unlike the mangroves from all over the world, these "dancing" trees have adapted to life in solitude, responding to elements with a gentle choreographic gesture.
