Exhibition Proposal

Guidelines for Submitting Your Exhibition Proposal

If you would like to showcase your work at the 2026 Festival, please submit your exhibition proposal using the form below. Each exhibition must focus on a single, cohesive project or narrative. Submissions consisting of unrelated or random images will not be considered.

Your proposal should include:

  • Sample Images:
A selection of images from the project.

  • Background Narrative:
A detailed explanation of the project’s focus, theme, and intent.

For print exhibitions, sample files should be uploaded in JPG format via the form. If your proposed project is selected, you will be required to provide high-resolution TIFF files for printing. These files must be processed in 16-bit TIFF format, preferably in ProPhoto color space or Adobe 1998. Please note that files processed in sRGB will not be accepted for printing.

Important: Projects that are ultimately unable to provide high-resolution TIFF files for printing will be disqualified, as this is essential to maintaining the Festival’s high standards for exhibited prints.

Each proposal will be carefully reviewed by our curators based on its merits. If your project aligns with the Festival’s vision, we will contact you with further instructions. Thank you for ensuring your submission adheres to these guidelines.

SUBMISSION DEADLINE: 30 April 2026

Exhibition Criteria

Xposure International Photography Festival is a prestigious event that showcases some of the most captivating and thought-provoking photographs worldwide. The selection process for this exhibition is based on rigorous criteria that aim to highlight the best and most engaging works of art.

One of the key merits that is considered when selecting photographs for the exhibition is the ability to tell a powerful and compelling story. The organizers of Xposure International Photography Festival believe that photography has the power to evoke emotions, convey messages, and make an impact on society. Therefore, photographs that effectively tell a story, communicate a message or convey an idea are given priority over random images that lack a clear narrative.

In other words, the selection process is not just about choosing the most aesthetically pleasing photographs but also about identifying those with a deeper meaning and purpose. Photographs that capture a unique moment in time shed light on a social issue, or tell a personal story that resonates with the viewer are more likely to be selected.

While technical skill and composition are factors in the selection process, they are not the only ones. No matter how well-executed, random images are not prioritised over photographs with a clear and meaningful narrative. Ultimately, the exhibition's goal is to showcase works of art that engage, inspire, and challenge the viewer, and the selection process reflects that aim.
