Emirates Photography Society
Driven by the valuable trust extended to us by Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, and by his continuous support for our activities, the Emirates Photography Society was founded in 2008.
The Society fosters creative talent in photography, supporting professionals, amateurs, and beginners alike. It also represents the UAE in the field of photography at local, Arab, regional, and international forums and events. Its main objective is to support photographers in their pursuit of compelling images, to share technical knowledge, and to highlight the art, history, and future of photography.
The Emirates Photography Society seeks to attract, guide, support, and sponsor photographers of all levels by involving them in photography activities, workshops, training programmes, as well as exhibitions and events, as part of its ongoing commitment to encouraging creativity and supporting the photographic community.
The Society is organising its ninth annual exhibition, featuring a wide range of works depicting nature, daily life, and abstraction. The exhibition offers an opportunity for photography enthusiasts to engage with the work, showcasing fifty artworks by Society members drawn from among the UAE’s citisens and residents.
Through these initiatives, the Society remains committed to promoting photography as an art form and enriching the local creative scene.
