Mário Cruz is a Portuguese documentary photographer, editor and curator focused on social injustice and human rights issues.
He’s a two-time World Press Photo winner and the founder of NARRATIVA, a photography center in Lisbon.

His work results in books that create a direct connection to the documented themes and in immersive exhibitions.
In addition to his photographic work, Mário Cruz assumes the role of editor and curator through NARRATIVA, a photography center in Lisbon aiming to share and value photography as a form of expression and communication. Each year, he selects six emerging authors to develop their personal projects through his mentoring.
