Peter Chanthanakone

Peter Chanthanakone is a Canadian award-winning animator and AI artist. With 15 computer-animated short films selected in over 75 international juried competitions across 30 countries and all 5 continents, he is recognized for his innovative approach to blending traditional animation techniques with cutting-edge AI artistry. As a jury member for SIGGRAPH Asia and the International Symposium of Electronic Art, and an officer for the Society of Animation Studies, Peter brings his expertise in both animation and AI to the forefront of the creative industry. He is also the director and producer at RiFF Animation Studio in Bangkok, Thailand, a visiting researcher at Chulalongkorn University, and currently serves as an Assistant Dean and Associate Professor in 3D Animation at Zayed University in Dubai. His work explores the intersection of AI and animation, pushing the boundaries of storytelling and visual expression.
