Tarik Khoja
Tarik Khoja is a Saudi photographer and educator with over twenty years of experience in the field. He began his professional journey as the official photographer for Saudi Airlines and quickly established himself in both practice and instruction.
He was the first Saudi representative to serve on the jury of the World Photographic Cup, holding the position from 2020 to 2022. In 2012, he earned national recognition with an award in the Saudi Colors Competition under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Sultan bin Salman.
Tarik trained at the New York Film Academy and holds credentials in professional instruction, including a Diploma from the Cambridge Training and Consulting Centre and a Training of Trainers certificate from the General Organisation for Technical and Vocational Training. He is a certified instructor with the Saudi Arabian Society for Culture and Arts in Jeddah and has led workshops and public sessions for the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce, Makkah Festival, and more.
He is a member of FIAP, the Photographic Society of America, and the Middle East Photography Club. In 2010, he founded the Photography Club at the Tasami Centre and supervised its gallery and educational programme until 2012. His influence extends to curriculum design, including certified photography training packages.
Tarik’s work has been exhibited across Saudi Arabia, with shows such as “Photographic Creations,” “Decouvre,” “One Tash,” and “Watan Al-Khair.” His photographs were accepted into the Al Thani Photography Competition in 2011 and 2012, as well as the Ambassador Photography Competition, organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
He has organised exhibitions, supervised training events, and developed professional development sessions such as ‘How to Launch a Small Project’. In 2024, he served as a jury member for the Saudi Underwater Photography Championship. He continues to contribute to national and regional photography programmes, combining education with cultural engagement to advance the medium within the Kingdom.
Exhibitions include: ‘Photographic Creations’ (2008), ‘Decouvre’ and ‘One Tash’ (2010), ‘Pure Art’ and ‘Watan Al-Khair’ (2011), ‘Baqili’ (2012), and the ‘Visual Arts Forum’ (2012). Accepted entries: Al Thani Photography Competitions (2011, 2012), Ambassador Photography Competition (Ministry of Foreign Affairs).
