GFP Nominee Registration Information

About Global Focus Project Registration

The Global Focus Project is a prestigious initiative highlighting exceptional photo essays worldwide. It is a nomination-based program, meaning that an industry expert must first nominate participants before they can be registered. This ensures that only high-calibre work is considered, maintaining the integrity and prestige of the project. Each nominated essay is then evaluated by industry experts, providing a high standard of selection and recognition.

Structure & Categories

The project is structured around six categories, each representing a continent. This ensures a diverse and global perspective on the stories told through photography. Within each category, the finalists include one male and one female, promoting gender balance in representation.

Judging & Finalist Recognition

Essays are rated by industry professionals based on their storytelling strength, photographic quality, and relevance to global issues. The most compelling and impactful photo essays advance through the judging process to the finalist stage.

Finalists receive significant recognition, as their 10-image photo essay is exhibited at the next edition of the Xposure International Photography & Film Festival. As part of this honour, finalists are invited as guests to the week-long festival, which covers flights and accommodation. This gives nominated finalists a unique platform to showcase their work, engage with industry leaders, and participate in festival events.
