United Through Music: Reflecting the Common Threads that Unite Us
United Through Music is a photographic journey by Krystal Chryssomallis that unveils the profound power of music to bridge cultures and inspire unity. Working alongside her father, world renowned musician Yanni, on a global tour across 60+ countries, Krystal captured the shared emotions his music evoked—drawing audiences together from every corner of the globe. Featuring the most talented musicians from around the world—often referred to as a “Mini United Nations," Yanni's concerts demonstrate the universal language of music, as the musicians gave their best and, in return, the cultures they touched reflected that openness back.
With rare access to awe-inspiring locations—from the Sphinx in Egypt lit under starlight to the winding pathways of Petra—Krystal’s lens reveals perspectives few will ever see. This exhibition explores how music transcends language and borders, inspiring us to see the beauty in one another and illuminating the shared joy and unity that define our humanity. Each photograph reflects intimate, unguarded moments, celebrating music as a universal language, and offering a powerful reminder of the bonds that unite us all.
A portion of the proceeds from this exhibition supports UNICEF’s educational programs worldwide, a cause deeply close to Krystal’s heart. For over eight years, she has witnessed their life-changing work firsthand, bringing education and hope to children in some of the most remote corners of the world. This initiative reflects Krystal's belief in the power of art to create meaningful impact and foster connection around the globe.
