Abdullah Dhiaa Al-deen (b. 1993, Baghdad, Iraq) is a documentary photographer and National Geographic Explorer. His work focuses on social issues, cultural heritage, and urban transformation across Iraq. Since 2012, he has contributed to major international outlets including Reuters, The New York Times, and National Geographic. In 2024, he received a National Geographic Society grant for his project Annotations in My Grandfather’s Quran, a visual exploration of memory and gentrification in Karbala.
