Ebrahim Alipoor

Ebrahim Alipoor is an award-winning Kurdish Iranian photographer known for his long-term visual storytelling projects across the Middle East. Born in Baneh, Kurdistan, he focuses on documenting the lives of marginalized communities through a blend of documentary and fine art approaches. With over ten years of field experience, his work has earned recognition from World Press Photo, POY Asia, and the Allard Prize. He is currently part of the VII Mentor Program and has exhibited his work internationally in galleries and festivals.

Alipoor’s work focuses on storytelling through photography, exploring social and political issues under challenging circumstances. He views photography as a powerful medium to engage audiences, particularly in regions like Iran, where governmental restrictions and censorship pose significant challenges. Despite these limitations, he seeks to connect with people and inspire change through his work.
