She loves photography since her childhood but started to focus on landscape photography around 10 years ago, when she visited the moon-like landscapes in the Rosengarten mountain group in the Italian Dolomites. Isabella Tabacchi considers her landscape photography as an art that not only immortalizes moments but has also the purpose to capture her emotions and stir feelings in people observing her works. Nature, especially a landscape, is often considered a dead and impersonal topic for photography, because it’s taken for granted that we live on an amazing planet that can be considered a form of art itself. But, a place can be more alive than anything else. The colors, the contrasts, the elements of nature arouse sensations in us and especially the memories, the events, the thoughts that make a landscape an emotions catcher.
The editing style has not the purpose to distort the reality but helps into the artistic expression of Isabella’s emotions in a landscape. Often the style and the mood within a picture is totally subconscious, Isabella doesn’t know either! But everyone can find a personal interpretation. This is the wonderful thing about art.
