Vidhyaa Chandramohan is a visual storyteller and National Geographic Explorer; her work focuses on environment and conservation. Her recent recognition with a grant from the National Geographic Society for her project, “Mangroves: Meet UAE’s Carbon Guardian,” underscores her profound dedication to the environment. Through this initiative, she sheds light on the critical ecological roles of mangroves, highlighting the UAE’s innovative strategies in combating climate change with nature-based solutions amidst challenges like rising sea levels, extreme weather, and coastal development.
But Vidhyaa’s impact extends beyond her professional endeavors. As a mother of two children, she harbors a deep passion for sharing positive impact stories from the UAE on a global platform. Her diverse educational background, including a Master’s of Business Administration and a Diploma in Documentary Photography from Danish Media and Journalism in collaboration with World Press Photo and Noor Images in Amsterdam, reflects her multifaceted approach to storytelling.
